Patterns, or Tul, are sequences of defensive and attacking movements that help students develop technique, flexibility, balance, and body control.

Solihull TAGB Tae Kwon-Do Club

Welcome to the official website of the Solihull TAGB Tae Kwon-Do Club. Our martial arts club teaches traditional Tae Kwon-Do in a friendly and supportive environment for students of all ages and abilities.

The club is affiliated with the Tae Kwon-Do Association of Great Britain (TAGB), the largest single Tae Kwon-Do association in Britain, with more than 15,000 members across over 400 clubs nationwide.

The TAGB is recognised by the British Tae Kwon-Do Council (BTC) and the government Sports Council, helping ensure professional standards and safe tuition. All instructors within the TAGB are fully insured and must hold a current Police DBS/CRB background check.

Why Train in Tae Kwon-Do?

Our club has a friendly atmosphere and includes students who have been training for several months through to many years. Members range from children to adults, and everyone is welcome.

New students are offered free trial lessons so they can experience Tae Kwon-Do training before deciding to join.

If you are already a licensed member of the British Tae Kwon-Do Council and train at another TAGB school, you are welcome to train at the Solihull club free of charge when you introduce yourself to the instructor and present your TAGB licence.

About the Instructor

My name is Mark Shuter, and I have been training with the TAGB for more than 38 years. During that time I have achieved the rank of 7th Degree Black Belt.

I have had the honour of being instructed by Grand Master Kenny Walton (9th Dan) and Grand Master David Oliver (9th Dan), both founder members of the TAGB.

I have trained at the Solihull club for over 36 years, assisting with teaching for more than 32 years before taking over as instructor in May 2010.

As a TAGB instructor I maintain the highest standards of safety and professionalism. I am:

Fully insured
DBS (formerly CRB) checked
First Aid qualified
Up to date on welfare and safeguarding polices as laid out by the governing body
